DAY-WISE TOUR ITINERARY

Coastal Karnataka is an invigorating experience of gorgeous beaches, rivers, backwaters, temples and heritage spots. It is not as crowded by tourists as in neighboring Kerala.

DAY 01: DEC 12 = KOLKATA – MANGALORE BY FLIGHT

Today your trip to Coastal Karnataka will start from Kolkata Airport by flight.

Arrive Managalore Airport and transfer to hotel. Afternoon local sightseeing depends on flight arrival time at Mangalore. Overnight relaxing stay at Mangalore hotel.

 

DAY 02: DEC 13 = MANGALORE FULL DAY LOCAL TOUR

The city Mangalore is located in the confluence of Nethravathi and Gurupura rivers. It is bound in the east by the Western Ghats and in the west by the Arabian Sea. The name Mangalore is the anglicised version of Mangaluru, the name for the city in the local Kannada language. The Malayalam language variant of the same is Mangalapuram.

After breakfast we will visit Mangala Devi Temple is situated in Bolar. The word Mangalore is derived from Goddess Mangaladevi, the main deity of the temple.

Kudroli Temple is a famous temple in the city of Mangalore another form of Lord Shiva. Mangalore Beachs is located towards the southern end of Mangalore Port. The beach is the property of Mangalore port trust. This is one of the best beaches of Mangalore and among the top Mangalore tourist places. Overnight stay at Mangalore hotel

 

DAY 03: DEC 14 = MANGALORE – UDUPI TRAVEL THROUGH SCENIC COASTAL NATURE

After breakfast, depart from Mangalore to Udupi and enn-route visit the famous temple of Durga Parameshwari at Kateel. Spend 30 minutes here and after Darshan head to Udupi. Reach Udupi, visit the famous Krishna temple at Udupi and explore the surroundings. Dinner and overnight in Udupi hotel

UDUPI:One of the most popular legends about Udupi is about Kanakadasa, a great devotee of Lord Krishna who has turned away from the Lord’s temple. It is said that as Kanakdasa went to the back window of the temple to catch a glimpse of the Lord, the idol turned to face him. This temple today, known by the name of Kanakanakhindhi is a famous spot in Udupi. Udupi the land of great beauty. Udupi is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka and between the glorious mountains of the Western Ghats and the beautiful Arabian Sea and it is one of the top tourist attractions in Karnataka

 

DAY 04: DEC 15 = UDUPI B E A C H , I S L A N D A N D LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

After early breakfast drive to Malpe beach. We will explore the St Mary’s island which is a geological marvel St. Mary's Island is a group of small beautiful islands to the north of Malpe Beach near Udupi. It is said that Vasco da Gama first reached this Island before reaching the Kappad Beach (near Calicut) while finding sea route to India.

The island has two beautiful beaches and crystallized basalt rock formations. The unique rock formations scattered throughout the island giving a special landscape to the place. The rock formations are one of rarely found in the world. Eastern beach boasts of virgin sands, western beach is entirely made of sea shells. This unspoiled island is a very beautiful place with white sands, coconut trees, blue waters & pleasant atmosphere. Return back to hotel in the late afternoon, Evening roam nearby market area. DAY 05: DEC 16 = UDUPI – MARAVANTHE – KAPU BEACH – MURUDESHWAR

 

Today after breakfast our journey towards Murudeshwar. On the way you will enjoy the marvel at the Maravanthe which has river on one side and beach on the other side! Spend few minutes for photo ops and drive to Kapu Beach. We will spend 30 min here and continue our travel towards Murudeshwar. On arrival Murudeshwar in the afternoon check in hotel and in the evening explore the temple with second tallest Shiva statue in the world and surroundings and head to beach for a lovely time and relax watching beautiful sunset. Night stay in Murudeshwar hotel.

 

Murudeshwar:this magnificent shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple boasts of the second highest statue of Lord Shiva in the world, and the sheer magnanimity of the statue will fill you with a sense of awe. This temple is built on the Kanduka Hill which is surrounded by the Arabian Sea on three sides. The main temple’s entrance, also called the Gopuram’ stands at 123 feet. Overnight stay Murudeshwar. DAY 06: D E C 1 7 = MURUDESHWAR –IDAGUNJI MAHA GANAPATI TEMPLE – KARWAR

 

Depart from Murudeshwar after breakfast. Enjoy the lovely coastal drive interspersed with rivers. This is the best part of driving in Coastal Karnataka! En-route you will have a change to darshan of Maha Ganpati Temple :

 

Idagunji Ganapathi Temple : Located in Idagunji, this temple is believed to be the place where Lord Ganapathi stayed. It is said that many ancient saints performed their rites of penance here. Nestled on the banks of River Sharavati, this temple has its mention in the Skanda Purana as well. One of the important places to visit in Murudeshwar for pilgrimage, the temple attracts more than 1 million devotees every year.

 

The major highlight of this temple is the statue of Lord Vinayaka which is kept in a standing posture. The temple is hailed to be one of the most prominent Ganesha temples on the western coast of India and often popularly called as ‘Ganesha Coast’. Continue your travel towards Karwar port city.

 

 

 

Upon arrival at Kanwar we will go to Kali River garden and enjoy cruise on the backwaters of Kali river. Kali river garden is a nice place to visit for boating. in evening. Overnight stay at Karwar hotel.

 

 

 

 

 

DAY 07: DEC 18 = MORNING KARWAR LOCAL TOUR  AFTER NOON TRANSFER TO GOA

 

Today morning you will explore Karwar Beach, Rabindra Nath Tagore Beach, INS Chapal Warship Museum, Rock Garden etc. Return back to hotel before lunch, check out have lunch and proceed towards Goa.

 

Karwar :The Queen of The Konkan Coast Karwar, on the western coast of the Indian Peninsula. Before Indian independence, the name Karwar was spelt Carwar. This is an ancient city majorly used for the sea trade, visited by the Arabs, Dutch, Portuguese, French, and later the British. During the 18th century, this city was part of the Maratha Empire and became a British territory after the defeat of the Marathas in the Third Anglo-Maratha War. Until 1950, it was a part of the Bombay Presidency. Arrive Goa hotel by evening, dinner and overnight in Goa hotel

 

DAY 08: DEC 19 = NORTH GOA TOUR

 

The second day of your Goa holiday takes you to explore the gems of North Goa. Have breakfast and get ready to embark on a full-day North Goa sightseeing tour. The first attraction that you will visit on your North Goa tour is the ancient Fort Aguada, Calangute Beach, and Anjuna Beach. Evening return back to hotel. Overnight Goa hotel.

 

 

 

DAY 09: DEC 20 = SOUTH GOA TOUR

 

Today you will visit the important tourist places in South Goa like - Miramar Beach, Bom jesus of basalica -Old Goa, St. Cathedral Church- Old Goa, , Shri Santadurga Temple. Afternoon visit Panjim local market, Return back to hotel, dinner and overnight Goa hotel.

 

 

 

DAY 10: DEC 21 = GOA TO KOLKATA RETURN BACK BY FLIGHT

 

Today morning after breakfast free time for your personal activities, shopping till flight time. Transfer to Goa airport to board on Kolkata bound flight. Arrive Kolkata airport (Tour End)
