MatheranIt is a smallest hill station of India, located at Karjat Tahsilin in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. It is located on the Western Ghats range at an elevation of around 800 Meters (2,625 ft) above from the sea level. It is about 100 km from Mumbai and 120 KM from Pune. Matheran's proximity to many metropolitan cities makes it a popular weekend getaway for urban residents. There are approximate 38 designated look-out "Points" (View Points) in Matheran, including the Panorama Point that provides a 360-degree view of the surrounding area and also the Neral town. From this point, the view of sunset and sunrise is dramatic. The Louisa Point offers crystal clear view of the Prabal Fort. The other points are the One Tree Hill Point, Heart Point, Monkey Point, Porcupine Point, Rambagh Point and more.

 

Day 01: Mumbai – Matheran (100 Km) Travel time 2.5 hours (Approx)

Upon arrival at Mumbai Airport pick you from Mumbai Airport and drive to Matheran, On arrival, check in to hotel, after some rest go for a nature walk in the evening and overnight stay at Matheran hotel.

 
   

Day 02: Matheran Local Sightseeing Tour, Overnight Matheran

After breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing tour of Matheran and visit to several tourist attraction of Matheran like Louisa Point, Panorama Point, Monkey Point, Charlotte Lake, Shivaji’s Ladder, Porcupine Point, Echo Point, Alexander Point, Hart Point, Honeymoon Hill, One Tree Hill Point, Little Chowk Point, Rambagh Point, Olympia and Prabal Fort. Here you have also options for valley crossing and other activities. Later free for shopping, return back to hotel and overnight stay at Matheran hotel.

Lonavala or Lonavla is a town and a beauty full hill station in Pune district of Maharashtra. It is located at about 64 KM from the city of Pune and 96 KM from the city of Mumbai. It is known for its production of the hard candy “Chikky” and is also a major stop on the railway line connecting Mumbai and Pune. Lonavla and the adjacent Khandala are two hill stations 622 Meters (2,041 ft) above from the sea level, in the Sahyadri ranges that demarcate the Deccan Plateau and the Konkan coast. A trip to Lonavla and Khandala can be combined with sight- seeing visits of Karla, Bhaja and Bedsa caves and also the two fortresses, Lohagad and Visapur. Another place of interest is the Tungi Fort, one of the forts captured by Malik Ahmad near the village of Karjat and was known for its natural strength.

 

 

Day 03: Matheran – Lonavala (83 Km) Travel time 3 hours (Approx)

Today after breakfast at hotel transfer to Lonavala, upon arrival at Lonavala check in hotel and Proceed to explore of Lonavala near by attractions. Later return back to hotel and overnight stay at Lonavala hotel.

 

Day 04 : Lonavala Sisghtseeing tour :

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of Lonavala and visit to popular tourist attraction of Lonavala like The Karla Caves – Are a complex of ancient Buddhist Indian rock-cut caves at Karli near Lonavala. The group at Karla is one of the older and smaller of the many rock-cut Buddhist sites in Maharashtra. Bhaja Caves – Is a group of 22 rock-cut caves dating back to the 2nd century BC located in Pune district of Maharashtra, near Lonavala. The caves are 400 feet above the village of Bhaja. The caves have a number of Stupas, one of their significant features. Visapur Fort   or Visapoor Fort – Is a hill fort near Visapur village in Maharashtra. It is a part of the Lohagad- Visapur fortification. Walwan Dam – Is a gravity dam on the Indrayani River near Lonavala, Pune district. Bhushi Dam – This Dam is most famous place in the Lonavala town, which is the popular spot for picnickers, here you can watch beauty full water fall near the dam, which is also a famous tourist spot of Lonavala. The Ryewood Park – Is located close to the Lonavala market, once was a Botanical Garden, now it is converted into a park. Marked by well maintained and landscaped lawns and gardens, it offers great view with variety of trees and colorful flowers. Later visit to The Tungarli Dam/Lake – Is an artificial reservoir, built alongside Tungarli Lake in the region of Rajmachi. The dam helps for irrigation facilities and water supply to the Lonavala city. You can enjoy lush green surroundings here. You can also visit to Wax Museum, Tiger’s Leap, Lonavala Lake, Amrutanjan Point, Rajmachi, Bhairavnath Temple and Duke’s Nose. Later free for shopping, return back to hotel and overnight stay at Lonavala hotel.

Day 04: Lonavala Sightseeing Tour – Alibagh via Khandala (75 Km) Travel time 2 hour (Approx)

Day 05: Lonavala – Khandala - Alibaug

Today morning after breakfast at hotel drive to Alibagh, en route visiting Khandala (Enjoy scenic view and pleasant weather of Khandala). Later continue drive to Alibagh, on arrival at Alibagh, check in to hotel. After refresh explore Nagaon Beach. Later return back to hotel and overnight stay at Alibagh hotel.

 

 

 

 

Day 06: Alibaug – sightseeing

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Alibagh city and nearby places like visit to Kihim Beach, Janjira Fort, Alibagh Beach and Kulaba Fort. .Aksa beach, Sasawane beach, Varsoli beach, Revdanda port in the evening return to Alibaug. O/N halt in Alibaug

 

 

 

 

Day 07: Full day Alibaug -Kashid- Murud Beach Janjira fort excursion

Today morning take breakfast in the hotel and then proceeds to Kashid Beach which is 33km from Alibaug.Kashid is a Beach town near Murud Janjira Fort. Murud-Janjira Fort is situated on an oval-shaped rock off the Arabian Sea coast near the port town of Murud, 165 km (103 mi) south of Mumbai. Janjira is considered one of the strongest marine forts in India. The fort is approached by sailboats from Rajapuri jetty. In the evening return back to Alibaug hotel

 

 

Day 08: Alibaug to Mumbai Gate way of India by Catamaran(luxury water ways transport approx 2 hrs to reach Mumbai. Upon arrival at Mumbai transfer to Mumbai hotel and evening free for shopping and personal activities. overnight Mumbai hotel night stay.

 

 Day 09: Mumbai Sightseeing & Return to Kolkata by Evening Flight:

Today morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Mumbai and begin your tour with a blessing of Lord Ganesh and visit to Shree Siddhivinayak Temple – Is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shri Ganesh. Gate of India – The Gateway of India is an arch monument built during the 20th centuary in Bombay. The Gateway of India is located on the waterfront at Apollo Bunder area at the end of Chhatrapati Shivaji Marg in South Mumbai and overlooks the Arabian Sea. The monument has also been referred to as the Taj Mahal of Mumbai and is the city's top tourist attraction. Marine Drive – Marine Drive is a 3.6  Km long boulevard in South Mumbai. Marine Drive is known as the “Queen's Necklace” because, if viewed at night from an elevated point anywhere along the drive, the street lights resemble a string of pearls in a necklace. Chaupati Beach – Chaupati is one of the famous public beaches adjoining Marine Drive in the Girgaon area of Mumbai. The beach is noted for its Ganesh Visarjan celebrations when thousands of people from all over Mumbai and Pune come to immerse the idols of Lord Ganesh in the Arabian Sea. If time allow visit to Juhu Beach – Juhu Beach is located on the shores of the Arabian Sea. It stretches for 6 Km up to Versova. It is a popular tourist attraction throughout the year and is also a sought after destination for shooting films. It is surrounded by the Arabian Sea to the west, Versova to the north, Santacruz and Vile Parle to the east and Khar to the south. Juhu is among the most affluent areas of the city and home to many Bollywood celebrities
